Nice little recreational yak!

This kayak works for what we wanted it for, tooling around on relatively calm Florida rivers and lakes. It tracks fairly well for the length (we have another brand of same length that is flat bottomed and tends to spin :-), and the seat is relatively comfortable for shorter trips (2 - 3 hours). I am a little disappointed in the quality of construction, however, I had parts of the carry handles falling off the first day without any way of securing them properly. The hull is a little thin, we had the stern on one boat dent considerably before we even got it on the water :-( I was able to push the dent out, but be aware that these boats won't take much impact without damage. Another disappointment (possibly due to keeping overall weight down?) is the rear compartment, which has a nice locking cover but is not separated from the rest of the cockpit. In other words, anything you put in there will get wet and can just fall out into the rest of the cockpit. Not a true storage compartment! Overall, for the price, I would have expected a little better quality in the hull, the rear compartment, and the other plastic components. I would relook at other brands such as Pekican, etc., if I were to purchase again.
